People come from all over the world to America just to travel historic Route 66. One wonderful portion goes through Funk's Grove in Shirley, Illinois where nature provides much to see and do. My impression of the area can be
represented by this antique store. It is still open for business now and then but also looks like time and nature are taking over, which is part of its rustic charm. It is owned by a member of the Funk family. Nearby is Funk's Grove Nature Center and the Funk Prairie Home Museum.
