Description
On Historic Route 66, south of Chicago, just past Bloomington, Illinois is a grove of virgin timber preserved by the Funk family for posterity. The feature tree is the Sugar Maple which the Funks have tapped to produce pure maple sirup since 1824. Although unusual to us today the spelling of syrup with an I was once preferred by Webster when referring to the product that results from boiling down sap without adding extra sugar. Visitors to this site can enjoy the virgin timber and see how the world famous sirup is made.
My prayer is that my impressions of the world captured in my paintings bring joy. I am just a Midwest artist who enjoys capturing nature in paint and on the computer. Email me at impressions@frontier.com for special offers and other size canvases. Visit me on Facebook at facebook.com/impressionsbyjac and say hi. And, right here make some comments. I want to hear from you!
