This museum is a hidden gem in central Illinois. This historic home is the landmark for a remarkable family which left their impression on everyone they met. You will not regret a visit to the Funk Prairie Home Museum where you will learn about Illinois history in an interesting way as you visit each room with a fantastic tour guide full of interesting stories. There is also a Gem and Mineral museum and historic farm displays to enjoy on this property. Even if you cannot visit this little house on the Illinois prairie has all the traditional elements of the 1850s, which makes it a joy to look at.
My hope is that my impressions of the world bring joy. I am an artist who used to work with large canvases in oils but when my RA made holding a brush too difficult I found a simple paint program on my computer allowed me to continue sharing my visions with others.
